Description
Boost your lighting output with the Arcadia T8 Reflector Lamp! These mirror - metal reflectors are super polished and can be easily attached to your existing fluorescent light fixtures. Simply clip it behind the bulb, and it will instantly enhance the lighting of fixtures with poor built - in reflectors. This is a cost - effective upgrade that saves you money by making the most of UV and light that would otherwise be wasted due to poor fixture design. When the lamp is on, light spreads in all directions, with much of it going upwards into the enclosure lid. But with the Arcadia T8 Reflector installed behind the tube, this stray light is redirected to where it's needed - the enclosure, maximizing the tube's efficiency. You can angle the reflector to direct light into your vivarium or terrarium. Made from sturdy aluminum, it's available in all lengths from 8W to 58W. There are also optimized models for T8 (1”) and T5 (5/8”) lamps. Fluorescent lamps produce light all around the tube. By using the Arcadia T8 Reflector, you can capture up to two - thirds of the light that would otherwise be wasted inside the enclosure. It helps focus the total light output, including the UV component, creating a more effective basking zone. Using the right reflector with the right lamp can triple the UV available to the animal. One high - output Arcadia T5 Reflector can do the job of four separate Arcadia T8 lamps. With a reflector, a D3 or 6% high - output T5 lamp can provide a massive 150+mws at 38cm (15in), compared to around 45mws from a T8 equivalent.

Using the Arcadia T8 Reflector Lamp is easy. First, make sure your fluorescent light fixture is turned off. Then, simply clip the reflector behind the bulb. You can adjust the angle of the reflector to direct the light exactly where you want it in your vivarium or terrarium. When it comes to maintenance, it's a good idea to clean the reflector regularly with a soft, dry cloth to keep it in good condition. Always ensure the fixture is off before cleaning. Be careful not to scratch the polished surface as it can affect the light reflection. If you notice any damage to the reflector, replace it immediately for the best lighting performance. And remember, choosing the right length and model for your lamp is crucial for getting the most out of your Arcadia T8 Reflector Lamp.
