Description
Discover the revolutionary Arcadia high - performance T5 bulbs, perfect for desert reptile species. These T5 bulbs outshine similar - length T8 lamps, delivering a significant boost in both visible light and UV output. They're an excellent choice for free - range tortoises! Key features include a 14% UVB output for vitamin D3 synthesis, 30% UVA, and the ability to produce amazing natural colors. Compared to equivalent D3+ T8 lamps, these T5 bulbs offer 100% more visible light and 95% more UVB, with a typical output of 61µW/cm2 at 30cm (without mesh/glass and reflector). The benefits of T5 technology are numerous. They have a smaller diameter (5/8 of an inch or 16mm compared to 1” or 26mm), are flicker - free as they operate on efficient high - frequency ballasts, and don't require replacement starters. Arcadia reptile T5 lamps are specially crafted to emit light in the UVB, UVA, and visible light spectra. Their special glass formulation allows more UVB and UVA to pass through, enabling us to customize spectral radiation patterns for specific reptile species. The Arcadia Reptile 14% UV - B 'DragonLamp' is our most powerful HO - T5 reptile lamp, expertly made in Germany. It provides high - level UV - B radiation without compromising on the color and quantity of visible light. These lamps are ideal for reptiles that need high levels of UV - B and are kept in large enclosures, such as bearded dragons, blue - tongued skinks, frilled lizards, agamids, uromastyx, tortoises, freshwater turtles, and bosc monitors. There are also other T5 bulb variations available, like the Arcadia Forest D3 6% UVB T5 Bulb and the D3+ 12% UVB T5 Bulb from Arcadia.
Using the Arcadia T5 reptile lamp is easy. First, make sure your enclosure is large enough as these lamps are designed for reptiles in big spaces. Install the lamp in a suitable fixture, ensuring it's at a proper distance (about 30cm for the best UV output). Switch it on, and your reptile will immediately benefit from the great light and UV. When it comes to maintenance, there's no need to replace starters, which makes things hassle - free. Just check the lamp regularly for any signs of damage. If you notice a decrease in light output or any visible cracks, it's time to replace the bulb. Also, remember that these lamps work best without mesh or glass in front, but if you need to use them, be aware that it might slightly reduce the UV and light levels. Keep your reptile happy and healthy with the Arcadia T5 lamp!
