Using the Zoo Med Cavern Kit is easy. First, take out the 12 lbs of Excavator substrate and put it in the Excavator Mixing Bag. Then, use the shovels to start digging and shaping the substrate as you like. You can attach the balloons using the Balloon attachment assembly to create different sized cavities. The Tunnel Tubes can be inserted to form tunnels. When you're done, refer to the Installation Booklet for any final touches. As for maintenance, keep the substrate dry to prevent mold. If the substrate gets too hard over time, you can add a little water and mix it up again. And always make sure to clean the tools after each use to keep them in good condition.
