ParaGuard™ is the sole fish and filter - friendly aldehyde - based (10% by weight) parasite control solution for fish parasites. Unlike toxic and hard - to - use formalin medications, it has no formaldehyde or methanol and won't change the pH. This product uses a special blend of aldehydes, malachite green, and fish - protecting polymers. It can quickly and effectively get rid of many ectoparasites like ich and external fungal, bacterial, and viral lesions such as fin rot. It's very useful in hospital and receiving tanks for new fish, and when adding new fish to a community tank. Warning! Don't eat, drink it or let it get into your eyes.
